Emergency and Exit Lighting

Emergency and exit lighting are required in all commercial buildings. Properly illuminated emergency and exit lights are an integral part of ensuring a facility is safe and code compliant.

NFPA Life Safety Code 101, OHSA and NEC compliance standards require that your emergency and exit lighting stay illuminated for a minimum of 90 minutes when necessary. Our team ensures that your emergency and exit lighting has been properly inspected, and is fully code compliant. We provide all necessary documentation for this process, along with training services to your team, so they are equipped to perform simple, visual monthly inspections of your emergency lighting, that are required by code.

Full-Service Emergency and Exit Lighting Inspection and Testing

  • NFPA, OSHA and the NEC require that emergency and exit signs will illuminate for a minimum of 90 minutes in a time of emergency. It is imperative to ensure that your emergency and exit signs meet this lighting and battery requirement.

The annual inspection, testing and maintenance of emergency and exiting lighting should be performed by a fire and safety professional familiar with the safety programs outlined in NFPA Life Safety Code 101.

Monthly safety checks of your emergency and exit lighting are also required, but these monthly inspections may be performed by a member of your team. Our team of professionals can quickly train your team to complete these monthly safety checks.
